This strictly hard bean is often called one of the world's finest coffees - and rightfully so. The well-rounded cup starts off with sweet lemon notes accompanied by a smooth, chocolate body and ending with a long-lasting but clean finish. Grown in the volcanic soil in Naranjo in the West Valley Region at heights of 1200-1350 meters.

About the coffee (compliments of our importer, Royal Coffee): "In 196o a group of coffee producers came together to create the COOPNARANJO, R.L. in order to pool their efforts for coffee processing. Since that time the Cooperative's members have purchased their own mill and have implemented comprehensive measures to improve coffee quality and production in addition to educating the members about sustainable farming practices and providing agricultural technical assistance. The Cattleya Especial RFA comes from the four farms located in the Naranjo district in the West Valley Region that have obtained Rainforest Alliance certification. Naranjo is divided into 29 coffee growing areas that are "blessed for coffee" enjoying near ideal growing conditions - soil, altitude, rainfall and temperature - that combine to create a unique coffee with delicate aroma, mild body and pleasing taste. The Cooperative has successfully improved the coffee production of its members and enhanced their communities socially, financially and sustainably."
